Pad Print

Pad printing uses a soft silicone pad to pick up ink from an etched plate and press it onto the product. Because the pad flexes, it can print on curves and uneven surfaces that other methods can't reach.

• Best for: pens, keyrings, USBs, golf balls and other small hard items.
• The look: crisp, solid colours that closely match your brand colours on white or light products. Detail down to 0.4mm and text from 5pt.
• Good to know: each colour is a separate setup charge. Up to 6 colours on many products. Gold and silver inks available; neon isn't. Dark products may need a white base layer. Some inks need curing time before dispatch. Gradients and photos don't reproduce well.
• Artwork: editable vector, fonts converted to outlines.
• Individual names: no.
